Dippidee's Little Devil cupcake

I LOVE CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES.

I have a problem eating non-chocolate cupcakes. There is no flavor that could EVER compare to chocolate. I decided to try Dippidee's "Little Devil" cupcake because it was one of the only chocolate based flavors that they offered. The frosting looked good, and it didn't seem like there would be much cream. The cake itself has no flavor, and the frosting was way too sweet. If I say something is too sweet, there is probably enough sugar in it to kill a small horse. Inside the cupcake is a cream overload, which made it disgusting. I really need to learn my lesson and stop going to Dippidee, or just stick to the pumpkin cupcake.

Dippidee's Pumpkin Cupcake

I ADORE PUMPKIN FLAVORED THINGS.

My parents were at Dippidee the other night, and called me to ask if I wanted a cupcake. I've given Dippidee bad reviews in the past, and was upset that my parents would even ask me if I wanted one. I can never turn down a cupcake, so I asked what flavors were available. I decided to give the pumpkin cupcake a chance, and I am glad that I did. This cupcake was seriously probably one of the best pumpkin flavored things that I have ever had. The cream cheese frosting was perfect, and the pumpkin flavored cupcake had a pumpkin pie filling in the middle! I was in heaven while eating this cupcake. I guess Dippidee is a hit-and-miss kind of bakery.

Sweet Tooth Fairy's Nutella Crepe

THIS CUPCAKE IS AMAZING.

Sweet Tooth Fairy did an amazing job on their Nutella crepe cupcake. I've had the Nutella crepes from IHOP and Village Inn, so when I heard that Sweet Tooth Fairy was working on a cupcake version I was excited but a little skeptical. It sounds amazing, but seems like it could be a hard flavor to duplicate. Sweet Tooth Fairy nailed the flavor perfectly. I thought I was really eating a Nutella crepe from IHOP. It was shocking how much this tasted like a real crepe. I picked the strawberries off the top, and it had a barvarian cream in the middle. I have to say that I will be sad to see October end, since this flavor is only around for the month.

One Sweet Slice's Brownies.

I KNOW THEY AREN'T CUPCAKES,

But they taste amazing! One Sweet Slice has started to offer brownies, cakepops, and macaroons. I'm a huge fan of the brownies and cakepops (I haven't tried the macaroons). Today I tried their chocolate brownie. I would normally never stray from buying a cupcake, but my dad tried one and recommended it. I'm glad I tried it.

Sugar Daisy Bakery

I THOUGHT I'D GIVE SUGAR DAISY ONE MORE CHANCE.

I've been to Sugar Daisy before, and the cupcake was...ok. What brought me back to Sugar Daisy is their AMAZING chocolate peanut butter bars. Those things are heavenly. I walked into the store and was disappointed when the woman at the counter said that they had just ran out. Not wanting to leave empty handed, I ordered a red velvet cupcake. It was so pretty I couldn't resist. I bit into it and was disgusted. The cupcake was so dry most of it ended up on my pants. The frosting was ok, but was nothing compared to One Sweet Slice's amazing red velvet cupcake. The only way I will come back to Sugar Daisy is for their chocolate peanut butter bars.

Swirly Girls Bakery

FROM WHAT I SAW ON YELP, I THOUGHT SWIRLY GIRLS WOULD BE A GOOD BAKERY.

I was wrong. I went to Swirly Girls in Daybreak's SodaRow after reading good reviews on Yelp, teaching me a lesson never to trust what other people say. I walked in to their cute little shop, but the moment I saw the cupcakes I was disappointed. I could tell that the frosting was going to be light, when I like my frosting dense. But I decided to get one anyways. I ordered a simple chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and a mini Milky Way on top. The cupcake has NO flavor and the frosting tasted incredibly cheap. The only part that tasted good was the mini Milky Way on top. I will not be back to Swirly Girls. It tastes like the owner of Swirly Girls stops at the Harmon's in The District every morning and buys some cupcakes to sell at Swirly Girls. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

Sweet Tooth Fairy let me down.

Sweet Tooth Fairy kind of let me down.

I am a huge fan of S'mores cupcakes, so when I saw that Sweet Tooth Fairy had a S'mores cupcake I didn't think anything of paying extra for it. I thought it looked delicious. I bit into the cupcake and was immediately disappointed. The frosting tasted NOTHING like Gram cracker, and the marshmallow filling inside was hot and melted. Most of the filling ended up on my chin instead of in my mouth. Normally Sweet Tooth Fairy charges about $2.50 for a cupcake, but this one was $3.00.

One Sweet Slice's Grand Opening

I attended One Sweet Slice's grand opening.

It was awesome. One Sweet Slice had their grand opening not too long ago, and I was invited! They had a deal going where if you bought a half dozen you recieved a gift bag. Being the fan that I am, I bought the half dozen and recieved my gift bag. Inside there was cupcake plates, cooking tools, and BEST OF ALL, a cupcake in a jar! This was a layer of chocolate cake, a layer of chocolate frosting, more cake, more frosting, and caramel on top! It was AMAZING!!! I would gladly pay $5-$6 for one of those!

Don't these look amazing?

New Sweet Tooth Monthly Flavors

THE SWEETH TOOTH FAIRY HAS NEW MONTHLY FLAVORS!

The Sweet Tooth Fairy has new monthly flavors! I am pretty excited to try the Nutella cupcake, even though I think it will be hard to out-do One Sweet Slice's Nutella cupcake.
