Sweet Cake Bakery

I was really excited to try Sweet Cake Bakery.

I assumed that a bakery would offer a lot  of  different flavors. I was wrong. I walked into Sweet Cake Bakery and one two different kinds of cupcakes were available that day. There was a dark chocolate cupcake, and a chocolate with a chocolate chip frosting. I despise dark chocolate, so I went with the chocolate chip frosted one. The first bite was an incredible let down. It had absolutely no taste to it. The texture was repulsive. Luckily my mom got a chocolate shortbread bar, and was willing to share. This chocolate shortbread bar was absolutely amazing, it blew my mind!

I had to force myself to finish this cupcake.

City Cakes Vegan Bakery/Cafe

I love anything vegan.

City Cakes is a vegan bakery/cafe. Their sandwiches and peanut butter chocolate bars are TO DIE FOR.  Everything that they make is vegan, and a few of their items are gluten free! They even offer vegan dog treats. This visit I decided to resist my normal order of a sandwich and a gluten free chocolate peanut butter bar, and go for a chocolate cupcake. What a mistake. This cupcake was dry, and incredibly hard to cut with my fork. The "frosting" barely even resembled frosting. I think that this cupcake could have been really good, but it had sat out for too long. The vegan chocolate mocha cookie that my mom ordered was old as well.

I love vegan food, but this cupcake didn't satisfy me.

Dippidee Bakery

Dippidee made my graduation cake!

My mom loves Dippidee's cupcakes, but I'm not a huge fan. I'll eat them, but I probably won't enjoy it. Their cake decorating skills are pretty amazing though. I was on their website and found that they had done a Misfits wedding cake. I hadn't graduated high school yet, so I wanted that cake for my graduation cake.
When the time to graduate came, Dippidee made me an amazing cake!

It was a chocolate cake with a mocha filling. Not very good, but looked cool!
(I know the picture looks like shit, I photo shopped my name out)

(M)adam & (St)eve's Erotic Bakery

 I like my cupcakes naughty.

(M)adam & (St)eve's Erotic bakery is the perfect bakery to fill your naughty needs! Their cake catalogs are hilarious, and I hope that they will make my college graduation cake! But unfortunately, naughty doesn't always equal delicious. :(
The cupcake itself made me smile, but the taste made me frown. The cake part was ok, but the frosting tasted cheap like it was from a grocery store and the chocolate that made up the penis was low quality.

All in all, if you want a laugh go to Madam and Steve's

Mini's Cupcakes.

When Mini's Cupcakes says "Mini" they mean it.

Mini's cupcakes are adorably small. Their cupcakes are always beautiful and delicious. It takes about 2 bites to finish one, but those 2 bites are heavenly. Leslie's shop is adorable, and she recently published a Mini's Cupcakes cook book! I have yet to bake anything from it though.
I've tried The Diva, Chocoholic, Black & White, Twisted Sister, and the coffee one. I loved every flavor that I tried!
The Diva is the best one that they offer!

The Sweet Tooth Fairy

I Love The Sweet Tooth Fairy.

Sweet Tooth Fairy was the 1st cupcake shop that I'd ever been to! Their first location was brand new at the time. I bought their peanut butter chocolate cupcake and was impressed, but stopped going for a while. They started expanding, and are now a very popular cupcake chain in Utah. Their cakebites are amazing, and have been recognized nationally. I still love their cupcakes, and can't wait until they bring back their churro cupcake!

The Ice Cream Sundae cupcake from The Sweet Tooth Fairy is AMAZING.

One Sweet Slice

One Sweet Slice is probably my favorite shop in Utah.

I discovered them by accident. My mom and I were at a craft store near by and I saw the word CUPCAKES on their sign. I immediately started begging my mom to take me over there. She refused saying "No one will ever be better than Sweet Tooth Fairy, why try?" I continued to bug her until she gave in.
We walked into One Sweet Slice and I was amazed! Their selection was amazing, and the decor was adorable. I've tried most of their chocolate based flavors, and I love each and every one of them that I've tried.
The Peanut butter Chocolate Swirl flavor is the best!
